The Callaway X Hot Fairway Wood has some major technology we should dive into. Here are the technology main points:

Forged Speed Frame Face Cup- Callaway has this technology they call a speed frame face. What this does is increases the ball speed and allows for more yardage. Even when you do not hit the sweet spot, the ball still goes the distance. This happens because of the forged speed technology.
Modern Warbird Sole- This warbird sole is an upgraded version of the most versatile woods ever built. So you can have confidence saying your fairway wood in versatile. 
Internal Standing Wave- This technology lowers the CG. Switching the weight super close to the frame face without touching it. This allows for an increase in distance.
Project X Velocity Shaft- This premiem shaft is really lightweight. This lightweight shaft will increase your speed and distance.

My first impression of the Callaway X Hot Fairway Wood was, " I hope it compares to the TaylorMade rbz." When you pick the club up, there is a simple feel to it. Keeping things simple sometimes is the best way to get the job done. The black club face allows for a nice smooth finish, this makes the club feel classy and timeless.

The Distance 

Everything about this club screams max distance. From reading the technology section alone you can understand. My distance has been increased since I have been using the Callaway X Hot Fairway Wood. You can call it good luck, or confidence, or maybe just a great club. Friends of mine have been saying this fairway wood has been out driving their current driver by around 10 yards. This is really impressive. So If distance is what you are looking for, you have found your new fairway wood.
